WhatsApp Web gets Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode

WhatsApp is adding many new features to its platform to keep their users intact. In this year, there were many new updates in their messaging app. Now, they have introduced WhatsApp Web Picture in Picture mode too. This will be their last update for this year.
It has successfully introduced PiP mode for all its Android and iOS users and now they have implemented it in WhatsApp Web too.
For those who don’t know, WhatsApp web is where you can use WhatsApp in your Laptop or desktop as well. But, to use it, you should have an active WhatsApp account in your mobile device.
It is simply a mirror image of your mobile application that runs in your desktop or laptop. You should also have an internet connection in your mobile device. Otherwise, WhatsApp web won’t start.
To start WhatsApp web, go to mobile WhatsApp account. In the home screen of WhatsApp, click on the 3 dots on the upper right corner of the screen. In this menu, you will find WhatsApp Web option. Click on it. Now in your desktop or laptop, open any browser and type web.whatsapp.com and press enter. It will display a QR code. Scan that code in WhatsApp web option in the mobile device. After successfully scanning, you can now access and chat in your laptop or desktop as well. But, make sure you have internet connection in your mobile device too.
WhatsApp has now added PiP feature in WhatsApp web, soon after implementing the PiP mode in WhatsApp mobile version.
According to a report published by WABetaInfo, owner of WhatsApp will be rolling out this PiP mode feature in phases. It will be rolled out with that latest version 0.3.1846 globally. It means that users don’t have to manually install this update, it will be automatically updated once it is rolled out in your phase(1).
How to use WhatsApp Web Picture in Picture mode?
If you are using the current version of WhatsApp web, then you can notice that any third party video link appears with a blurred thumbnail and if it is not, then you can check your version navigating to WhatsApp web >settings>help.
If your version is not 0.3.1864, then your WhatsApp we. Is not updated yet. Have some patience as the updates are rolled out in a phased manner, it will be available very soon.
So, if you find the blurred image, then you can directly play that video in a small window in that tab itself and continue chatting at the same time.
One thing to note: If you leave that if you exit WhatsApp web, the video will stop playing.
There is also an option to play the video in full-screen mode.
