Preparing chicken fried rice and egg fried rice both are the same. The only difference is in chicken fried rice, you have to use chicken. But, along with chicken pieces, you can also add scrambled eggs.

A complete meal in itself, Egg fried rice is a bowl of goodness filled with carbs, protein and veggies. All you really need is eggs, rice, vegetable, and soy sauce. Most of the people tend to enjoy egg fried rice with some side chicken or vegetable side dish. I love this recipe personally because it is super easy and takes a lot less preparation time. Plus, you could also use day-old leftover rice to prepare this, which is a total win-win for me.

Chinese Egg Fried Rice Recipe | Easy Egg Fried Rice

To make this simple egg fried rice, you would need,

  • Rice
  • Soy Sauce
  • Vinegar
  • Red Chili Sauce
  • Garlic chopped
  • Oil
  • Ginger
  • Spring Onions
  • Capsicum
  • Eggs
  • Salt

– Take a large bowl. Add 1 cup rice and rine well. Let it soak for 30 minutes. After 30 Minutes, cook the rice till 80%. It should be left 20% uncooked. Then cool it completely.

– Take veggies (spring onions, capsicum, onions, cabbage), chop them, and keep aside.

– Also, heat a frying pan, add 4 eggs, and saute them. Once it is cooked properly, remove and keep them aside. Take a large Kadhai, on a medium flame, heat 2 Tbsp oil, add chopped garlic and ginger, saute till it changes its color.

– Add all the chopped vegetables and saute them for 5 minutes. Lower the flame, add the scrambled eggs, salt, ½ Tsp vinegar, 1 Tbsp Red Chili sauce, 1½ Tsp Soy Sauce, and saute well.

– Now add the cooked rice in it. Carefully and slowly mix them so that the rice mixes with all the sauces.

– After all is cooked, garnish with the green part of spring onions. Your chinese egg fried rice is ready to be served. Serve it hot with Schezwan Chutney.

How to Make Egg Fried Rice at Home?

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 ½ tsp Soy Sauce
  • ½ tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1 ½ tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 3 tbsp Spring Onions green part and white part separate
  • ½ small Capsicum sliced
  • 4 Eggs
  • Salt as needed

Notes

  • While cooking the egg, you can add salt or you can also skip it.
  • You can also add Ajinomoto while adding the sauces.
  • Instead of adding chopped ginger garlic, you can also use Ginger Garlic paste.
  • You can add veggies of your own choice
